MarySue learned to knit at age 4 and a fiber artist was born.While comfortable with all fiber mediums: knitting & crochet, spinning yarn, weaving, dying fiber & yarn and sewing, her true passion is wet felting.She has taught at her store in downtown Port Angeles, the Port Angeles Fine Arts Center, Peninsula College, the Port Angeles School District, Field Hall and various fiber retreats in the area.

MarySue started Cabled Fiber Studio in 2011 to showcase the fiber arts & artists of the Olympic Peninsula.The Studio has grown and is now Cabled Fiber & Yarn, a store with the same mission which she co owns with Beth Witters. In addition to teaching at the store, MarySue also designs knitwear and is a “YarnMath” Nerd.
